MURCO FORECOURT MAINTENANCE CONTRACT FOR CSG

Fast growing forecourt retailer Murco Petroleum has awarded a major forecourt-servicing contract to the Hampshire-based waste management specialists Cleansing Service Group.

Services being provided by CSG include cleaning and recharging the forecourt and carwash interceptors – the below ground units which ensure oil, petrol and silt does not enter the sewers – as well as cleaning the silt traps and associated surface and underground drainage channels and gullies.

To reduce the amount of waste which has to be removed from a site CSG are using mobile dewatering units. These units are self-contained treatment plants in which solids and liquids are separated. Solids are extracted and collected to form a cake and the cleansed water is effectively recycled by returning it to source.

Kevin Gardiner, Murco’s maintenance & development manager said; “The services provided by CSG not only help ensure that our forecourts are maintained to a very high standard but also, by reporting any problems, that they are safe for both employees and the general public.”

CSG are in the middle of a programme of servicing 120 sites with the remainder of the 230 Murco company owned stations to follow. Murco also supplies some 230 dealers throughout the UK.
